Mill Creek Restoration Project

Mill Creek is a large multifaceted valley wide restoration project one mile in length on the Deschutes River basin of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation. Mill Creek is the main tributary of the Warm Springs River, one of the last strongholds of the Native Wild Salmon along the Deschutes. The project included engineering and building new fish passages, side channels, log jams and spawn beds. Complete habitat restoration including native vegetation plantings and natural irrigation construction supporting flourishing wildlife.
